This "Russian SOFT Overkill" is a collaboration between Sergey Shirogorov and RJ Martin, only 100 made with Maroon micarta.
It was based on the legendary knife Q-36, twice winner as the Best Tactical Knife of the 2007 and 2009 at the international Blade Show. Of course, traditionally for joint projects with the Shirogorov Workshop, any chosen model undergoes a rethinking personally by Sergei Shirogorov, a serious study in the details of the handle and blade, the selection of suitable engineering solutions used in production at the Shirogorov, however, the recognition of the original model remains. That is why the knives of joint projects are very popular worldwide. All elements of the knife are made of high quality materials, and the blades are made of the premium M398 steel from Bohler-Uddeholm.
Russian Overkill is a large and reliable folding knife, a flipper with a blade of predatory form and a strong tip. The handle is made of titanium and Maroon micarta. The blade has a standard length of 100 mm for our knives and a thickness of 4 mm, which is optimal for a folding knife.
Shirogorov and RJ Martin logos are applied on wide sides of the blade by laser engraving.
The blades of the knives in the project are made of M398 steel. As for the mechanics, then we applied the proven SRRBS system (single row roller bearings) on hardened steel washers.
